SPAM - THE LAW
Britain's new anti-Spam law came into effect on 11 December 2005. Under the new law, companies have to get permission from an individual before they can send them an e-mail or text message. However, the regulations do not cover business e-mail addresses, despite calls by many for a blanket ban on spam.
The anti-spam group Spamhaus criticised the law for excluding work addresses.
"Britain has disappointed the internet community by actually legalizing the spamming of British businesses," said a Spamhaus statement.
OUR POLICY
We do not want to send e-mail to anyone who does not wish to receive it. We will initially sign new businesses up when they are added to the directory, but each newsletter will include an unsubscribe link. Alternatively, you can use the form above to unsubscribe as well as subscribe.
